The Artist

Luiz QuadrioLuiz Quadrio. Plastic artist, graduated in Visual Arts from FMU (Faculdade Metropolitanas Unidas), tattoo artist and currently professor of drawing and painting at Atelier Luiz Siqueira – Escola de Arte (provisional name).  Born in 1988 in the city of São Paulo. He began his study of realistic drawing at the age of 16 as a self-taught person using the methodology based on the book Drawing with the Right Brain by professor Betty Edwards. And after working as an assistant professor for the artist Caio Santos, he improved his knowledge of drawing and was introduced to the techniques of watercolor and oil painting through the Alfagraphy methodology. In 2011 he started the project to create characters for the book O Vale dos Anjos, by Brazilian writer Leandro Schulai, collaborating with 30 illustrations.

In 2012 he started his studies with professor and artist Caio Santos, with whom he had access to the concept of Alfagraphy, and learned several drawing and painting techniques.

In 2013 he took part in the collective exhibition in honor of Ayrton Senna's 20 Years of Legacy, held at the Hotel Transamérica.

In 2014 he was featured on Velocult, another collective exhibition held to honor the great drivers representing Brazilian motorsport: Emerson Fittipaldi, Ayrton Senna among others.

In 2015 to 2016 he held a solo exhibition - Solitude in the City of São Paulo - At the Instituto Cultural Caio Santos and at the CCJ (Centro Cultural da Juventude).

Cultivated Acts

Atos Cultivados
In 2016 he participates in the group of artists Atos Cultivados, winners of VAI 2016, in a project of conception of the Pathogenesis Comic Book along with the scriptwriter, designer and tattoo artist André Borges. In the same year, he enrolled at FMU - Faculdade Metropolitanas Unidas in the undergraduate degree in Visual Arts.
